The method involves adjusting each output signal of a gyroscope installed in an aircraft by transforming the output signal to a coordinate system of a thermal image camera. An artificial horizon (KH) is produced in the thermal image camera with respect to a thermal image (WB). A position of an indicated part of the thermal image is shifted to an exclusive representation of a scene (1b) lying below the artificial horizon, where the indicated part of the thermal image at an upper edge is limited by the artificial horizon.
