An organic electroluminescence element comprising at least an emission layer sandwiched between an anode and a cathode, wherein the emission layer comprises a metal complex having a partial structure represented by one of the following Formulas (1)-(3): wherein R11 and R12 each represent a substituent, provided that each of R11 and R12 may be the same or different from each other, and the substituent represented by each of R11 and R12 is one selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group, a heteroaryl group, a heterocyclic group, an alkoxy group, a cycloalkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an alkylthio group, a cycloalkylthio group, an arylthio group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, an aryloxycarbonyl group, a sulfamoyl group, an acyl group, an acyloxy group, an amido group, a carbamoyl group, a ureido group, an amino group, a halogen atom, a fluorinated hydrocarbon group, a cyano group, a nitro group, a hydroxyl group, mercapto group, and a silyl group; R14-R17 each represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent, provided that each of R14-R17 may be the same or different from each other; and M represents a metal of the 8th-10th groups of the periodic table; wherein R22 and R23 each represent a substituent, provided that each of R22 and R23 may be the same or different from each other, and the substituent represented by each of R22 and R23 is one selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group, a heteroaryl group, a heterocyclic group, an alkoxy group, a cycloalkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an alkylthio group, a cycloalkylthio group, an arylthio group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, an aryloxycarbonyl group, a sulfamoyl group, an acyl group, an acyloxy group, an amido group, a carbamoyl group, a ureido group, an amino group, a halogen atom, a fluorinated hydrocarbon group, a cyano group, a nitro group, a hydroxyl group, a mercapto group, and a silyl group; R24-R27 each represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent, provided that each R24-R27 may be the same or different from each other; and M represents a metal of the 8th-10th groups of the periodic table; wherein R31-R33 each represent a substituent, provided that each of R31-R33 may be the same or different from each other, and the substituent represented by each of R31-R33 is one selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group, a heteroaryl group, a heterocyclic group, an alkoxy group, cycloalkyoxy group, an aryloxy group, an alkylthio group, a cycloalkylthio group, an arylthio group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, an aryloxycarbonyl group, a sulfamoyl group, an acyl group, an acyloxy group, an amido group, a carbamoyl group, a ureido group, an amino group, a halogen atom, a fluorinated hydrocarbon group, a cyano group, nitro group, a hydroxyl group, a mercapto group, and a silyl group; R34-R37 each represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent, provided that each of R34-R37 may be the same or different from each other; and M represents a metal of the 8th-10th groups of the periodic table.
