PURPOSE: A tilt or telescopic type steering column for a vehicle is provided to smoothly slide movable and fixed gears and to prevent noise generation during the slide of the gears. CONSTITUTION: A tilt or telescopic type steering column(200) comprises a tilt bracket(211), a fixed gear(230), and a movable gear(220). The tilt bracket is integrally fixed with a steering column and adjusts the tilt angle of a steering wheel. The fixed gear is joined to the outer side of the tilt bracket and is equipped with gear teeth. The movable gear is opposed to the fixed gear and comprises gear teeth for engaging with or being separated from the gear teeth of the fixed gear. |
