1. An oscillator comprising:
a negative resistance element; a resonator; and a capacitor electrically connected in parallel with the negative resistance element relative to a power bias circuit, wherein part of the resonator is adapted to operate as two electrodes of the negative resistance element, wherein a capacitance of the capacitor is such that a cut-off frequency is smaller than a fundamental resonance frequency of a loop feedback circuit that is formed by the power bias circuit and the negative resistance element, wherein the cut-off frequency satisfies a formula of f=1/(2πCR) where f represents the cut-off frequency, C represents the capacitance, and R represents a total resistance of the power bias circuit, and the oscillator is adapted to oscillate electromagnetic waves in a frequency region from more than 30 GHz and not more than 30 THz. |
