1. A method, comprising:
detecting an instruction sent from a first mobile station to a second mobile station to execute a position determination application stored on a memory of the second mobile station; obtaining, at the second mobile station, a pilot signal comprising identification information associated with a base station; in response to detecting the instruction, extracting identification information of the base station from the pilot signal; obtaining a location of the base station from a look-up table (LUT) stored in a memory of the second mobile station using the identification information of the base station, wherein the LUT includes information about identification of a plurality of base stations and their corresponding locations in a region; and determining a location fix for the second mobile station based on the location of the base station obtained from the LUT. |
