<p>The present invention provides a method for determining an up-sampling filter to accurately interpolate sample values in respective sampling locations according to an up-sampling scale in scalable video encoding/decoding. The up-sampling method for scalable video encoding/decoding includes the steps of: determining a phase-shift between the pixels in a high-definition image and the pixels in a low-definition image based on a scaling factor between the high-definition image and the low-definition image; selecting at least one filter coefficient set corresponding to the phase-shift in filter coefficient data including the filter coefficient sets corresponding to respective phase-shifts to generate another high-definition image by filtering the low-definition image; and generating an enhanced layer bit-stream presenting the up-sampling filter information presenting the phase-shift and high-definition encoding information generated by encoding the high-definition image.</p> |
