The present invention relates to a roll cleaner apparatus containing a roll cleaner unit for removing impurities existing on the surface of a roll, and a method using the same. The roll cleaner unit includes a roll cleaner unit body arranged to be separated from the rotation center of the roll at a constant distance in a radial direction and is rotatably supported on the roll cleaner apparatus by a first support axis of both sides; and a cylinder in which one end is rotatably supported on the roll cleaner apparatus by a second support axis and the other end is hinged with the roll cleaner unit body through a piston rod. The roll cleaner unit body includes a knife equipped to be slid on the roll cleaner unit body and is able to remove impurities existing on the surface of the roll by being in contact with the surface of the roll. |
