The present invention relates to apparatus for ocular treatment in which the structure is improved for align beam used for guiding therapeutic beam which is radiated on ocular diseases or lesion areas to detect characteristics of ocular tissues, and to a control method thereof. The apparatus for ocular treatment comprises: a beam generation unit which generates the therapeutic beam and align beam; a beam delivery unit which guides the therapeutic beam and align beam to each ocular treatment area; a tissue detection unit which detects status of the tissues according to the align beam irradiated on the ocular treatment area; and a control unit which controls operation of the beam delivery unit in order to control irradiation location of the therapeutic beam based on signals detected from the tissue detection unit. The apparatus for ocular treatment hereby detects changes of ocular tissues using the align beam and measures the ocular treatment area on which the beam for treatment is irradiated. Therefore ocular treatment efficiency can be enhanced by accurate irradiation of the therapeutic beam.
