A method for selecting a data acceleration algorithm based on information related to a communication network and then providing content is disclosed. The method is comprising, extracting an Internet protocol (IP) address included in a received content transmission request; determining whether or not information about a communication network service provider that matches the extracted IP address is present; selecting a data acceleration algorithm based on the information about the communication network service provider if it is determined that the information about the communication network service provider is present; and sending requested content in accordance with the selected data acceleration algorithm. |
