A method for manufacturing a display device includes the steps of: forming a gate wiring part on a substrate; forming a gate insulation layer on the gate wiring part; forming a semiconductor layer on the gate insulation layer; forming a data wiring part on the semiconductor layer; forming a passivation layer on the data wiring part; forming a pixel electrode on the passivation layer; forming an image display layer on the pixel electrode; and forming a common electrode on the image display layer.
