<p>The method involves checking whether an aircraft requires an additional drag to fly along two segments with respect to predetermined constraints based on performance of the aircraft. A thrust of an engine, which is necessary to maintain the predetermined constraints, is determined when the additional drag is necessary for the segments, by considering regulation of the engine with minimal thrust on the segments. The fuel consumption of the segments is calculated from the determined thrust of the engine. An independent claim is also included for a device for predicting fuel consumption on an aircraft.</p> |
