The water-heater (1) has a heat pump system including an evaporator (4) and a compressor (5). An incoming airflow conduit (10) opens into a first compartment (13), and an outgoing airflow conduit (11) opens into a second compartment (15), where a communication between the compartments is formed by the evaporator. The first compartment is formed by a casing (12) arranged at an end of the incoming airflow conduit under a cover, so that the incoming air is not in contact with the compressor and a wall of the cover. The compressor is installed in an independent third compartment (31).
