The electric machine has a fan wheel and a rotor. The fan wheel is coupled with the rotor. The air is heated during operation of the main portion and is discharged as exhaust gas. The fan wheel is designed with accurate metal elements. A sensor device is provided in the fan wheel to detect the rotational speed of the rotor. A sensor of the sensor device is arranged outside of the fan wheel in the radial direction. An air guide element of the fan wheel is provided with a signal transmitting apparatus of the sensor device.
