The present invention relates to a lighting apparatus, and more particularly, to a light emitting diode lighting apparatus including a dimmer capable of controlling brightness. A lighting apparatus according to the present invention includes a light emitting unit having at least one light emitting diode connected in series; a direct current power supply for generating output power for driving the light emitting diode; an LED driving unit connected to the direct current power supply to supply a set current value to the light emitting unit; a dimmer connected to the LED driving unit to control brightness of the light emitting unit; and a dimming control unit connected between the dimmer and the LED driving unit to enable the dimmer to perform a dimming operation without regard to a connection polarity of the dimmer.
