A method for modifying an item is performed by an item modifier server that can be connected to a user terminal. The method for modifying an item comprises: a step of receiving a modification request for the item requiring modification, which is associated with a game character from the user terminal; a step of selecting, upon receipt of the modification request, a number N of weighted values for modification (where N is a natural number greater than 1) associated with the weighted value for modification of the item requiring modification and the weighted value for the condition of the game character; a step of changing the weighted value for modification and the weighted value for the condition of the modification target item associated with the game character based on the selected N-number of weight values for modification; and a step of transmitting the modified target item to the user terminal. The method of the present invention performs an item modification until the result desired by a user is obtained, thus inducing consumption of the game money of the user. |
