PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system which can transmit related information without largely affecting image appreciation by a user and to provide an image display device, an information providing method and a program.SOLUTION: An image display device includes an information embedding section which embeds unit information constituting information in an image by dividing a display screen into four regions, and changing at least one of a luminance value and a color difference value of a divided image displayed in the regions which are divided into four on the basis of information to be provided. A display section displays the image in which the unit information is embedded by the information embedding section on the display screen. The information processor includes an information extraction section which compares the four divided captured images corresponding to the regions in the captured images which the imaging section outputs, extracts the unit information in accordance with a comparison result and obtains the information. |
