PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastomer composition having physical properties such as excellent tensile characteristics, modulus of elasticity, and hardness by substituting carbon black used as a reinforcement material for an elastomer composition with a plant-derived raw material, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: There is obtained an elastomer composition by a step of preparing a defibrated product having a specific surface area of 50 to 600 m/g by defibrating a plant-derived fiber, a step of preparing a reinforcement material by adhering a latex to the surface of the defibrated product, and a step of mixing an elastomer component and the reinforcement material.
