PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation and purification method capable of conducting purification by recrystallization with simple and easy method in high yield in purification of an indenyl compound bound to a silicon or germanium crosslinking group.SOLUTION: There is provided a method of purifying a crosslinked indenyl compound including separating an indenyl compound bound to a silicon or germanium crosslinking group by conducting operations of following process (1) and (2) on a mixture containing the indenyl compound bound to the silicon or germanium crosslinking group. Process (1): a process of reacting the indenyl compound bound to the silicon or germanium crosslinking group with a base compound. Process (2): a process of isolating the indenyl compound bound to the silicon or germanium crosslinking group from a reaction mixture obtained in the process (1) by recrystallization or a solid-liquid separation. |
