PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite for osteosynthesis, which can be reabsorbed with biocompatibility.SOLUTION: The composite includes bone conductive particles at least a part of which is dispersed in a porous polymer matrix having a plurality of fluid passages exposed to the outer face of the polymer matrix. The composite may further include a chemical additive to be incorporated in the polymer matrix. The chemical additive alters one or a plurality of the properties of the polymer matrix including acidity, decomposition rate, melting point, hydrophilicity, and hydrophobicity. The method for manufacturing the composite includes forming a mixture by mixing bone conductive particles with a polymer material and a chemical additive, and treating the mixture such that the bone-conductive particles are combined with the polymer material so as to form a solid unit. |
