PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus capable of storing medical information of medical records and memos while imparting retrieval tags when the medical information is input by handwriting and stored.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes: an input part where medical information on a patient is handwritten; a control part which stores the handwritten medical information in a database together with an imparted retrieval tag; a tag display part which displays the retrieval tag; a similar patient calculation part which determines a similar patient based upon attribute information and calculates medical information on the similar patient; a retrieval tag presentation part which extracts a word included in the medical information on the similar patient, and displays the words as candidate words for a plurality of retrieval tags at the tag display part according to priority; and a selection part which selects a retrieval tag to be imparted to medical information out of the plurality of candidate words displayed at the tag display part when storing the medical information in the database.
