The embodiment of the present invention provides a positioning method, apparatus and system, relates to the technical field of communications, and is used to improve positioning precision. The method includes: a server determines a positioning measurement parameter, and generates measurement configuration information carrying the positioning measurement parameter; the positioning measurement parameter is a parameter which the server requires a terminal to measure and is used for positioning the terminal; the server sends the measurement configuration information to the terminal via a base station; the server receives configuration response information returned by the terminal via the base station; the configuration response information carries a positioning response parameter; the positioning response parameter is a measurement result of the positioning measurement parameter measured by the terminal; and the server positions the terminal according to the positioning response parameter carried in the configuration response information. The present invention is suitable to a scene of positioning the terminal.
