PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition for automatic dishwasher which exerts excellent washing performance to dirt being a composite of lipid and protein, dried and strongly stuck to the surface of the tableware and can suppress bubbling due to the surfactant, and a method for washing tableware using the same.SOLUTION: A detergent composition for automatic dishwasher comprises: (A) polypropylene glycol having a number average molecular weight of 4,500 or more and 50,000 or less; and (B) an aliphatic acid ester type nonionic surfactant, and the content of the (A) component is 0.5 mass% or more and 10 mass% or less and the mass ratio [(A)/(B)] of the (A) component to the (B) component is 0.2 or more and 5.0 or less. |
