PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection apparatus capable of suitably adjusting outputs of a lamp for two input values, i.e. a gradation number of an inputted image and illuminance of a room.SOLUTION: The image projection apparatus includes: an external connection part for receiving an input of image data; an illuminance sensor for measuring surrounding illuminance; an image data processing part for increasing a gradation value of the image data in accordance with brightness of the image data; a set information storage part for storing at least two or more pieces of correspondence information indicating correspondence relation between the brightness of the image data and lamp power to be increased in accordance with brightness of a lamp to be a light source in each range of the acquired illuminance; an overall control part for determining the lamp power of the lamp by referring to a table stored in the set information storage part on the basis of the acquired brightness of the image and the illuminance; and a projection part for projecting the image data of which the gradation value is increased, by the determined lamp power. In the correspondence information, a lamp power value is set to a lower value in proportion to lowness of the illuminance. |
