Signalling system (10) comprising a unit (12) for generating at least one holographic image (13) in order to produce a signal capable of being seen by an observer (11). The unit (12) for generating a holographic image comprises a carrier (14), a light guiding sheet (16) and a translucent holographic plate (18), the light guiding sheet (16) being on the one hand interposed between the carrier (14) and the plate (18) and on the other hand connected to a light entrance (22) so that the light (20L) arriving via said entrance (22) penetrates into said sheet (16) via its edge face (16T). The light guiding sheet (16) makes it possible to make the light exit in a coherent beam, collimated at a set angle so as to illuminate the holographic plate (18), thereby allowing the holographic image (13) to be generated.
