FIELD: metallurgy.SUBSTANCE: gas vent includes an afterburner chamber, a dust-collecting chamber and a receiving branch pipe having an inlet section that is bigger than that of an arch-like branch pipe of an electric arc furnace, which is connected to the afterburner chamber and adjacent with the specified gap to the arch-like branch pipe of the electric arc furnace. With that, the lower part of the receiving branch pipe is installed with an inclination to the horizontal of 45-50° towards the afterburner chamber, and the gas vent is additionally equipped with a cooling chamber arranged above the dust-collecting chamber equipped with convective heat exchange surfaces and connected to a non-cooled gas cleaning duct by means of a flexible thermal expansion joint.EFFECT: simpler design, higher operating reliability and durability, simpler maintenance and lower labour intensity at removal of slag metal deposits and dust; besides, the invention allows improving cooling efficiency of electric arc furnace outlet gases.3 cl, 1 dwg |
