<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device which forms an excellent image even if resistance change occurs in a transfer member, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A transfer device includes: a photoreceptor for carrying a toner image; developing means for forming the toner image on the photoreceptor; a transfer sheet rotated at a predetermined speed or an intermediate transfer belt; and a transfer roller which is in contact with the inside of the transfer sheet or the intermediate transfer belt to apply transfer bias for transferring the toner image from the photoreceptor to the transfer sheet or the intermediate transfer belt. The transfer device includes: a driving source for driving the transfer roller independently; a transfer current sensor 69 which measures transfer current during predetermined image formation; and rotation control means 62 which controls rotation of the transfer roller according to information on the measured current.</p> |
