摘要 A method for manufacturing a polarizer, said method being characterized by the provision of the following steps: an adhesive application step in which an active-energy-ray-curable adhesive is applied; a bonding step in which a layered body (4) comprising a transparent film or transparent films (2, 3) layered on one or both surfaces of a polarizing film (1) with the aforementioned adhesive interposed therebetween is sandwiched between a pair of bonding rolls (51, 52) rotating in the conveyance direction and at least one of said bonding rolls is pushed in the direction of the other bonding roll so as to bond the transparent film(s) (2, 3) to the polarizing film (1); and an active-energy-ray exposure step in which the aforementioned layered body (4) is exposed to active-energy rays so as to cure the adhesive. This method for manufacturing a polarizer is further characterized in that: at least one of the pair of bonding rolls (51, 52) is a double bent roll (51) that has a double structure comprising a central shaft (51a) and a roll part (51b) having an outer surface; and said central shaft (51a) and roll part (51b) are joined to each other only partially such that warpage does not occur in the outer surface of the roll part (51b) even if warpage does occur in the central shaft (51a).
