Abstract The attachment is designed to kill Lantana and other weed species using steam. It is able to flatten the bush/weed and apply super heated steam to the plant base branches and soil. Being attached to an excavator with a long arm will enable access to difficult terrain. For improved manoeuvrability of the head, a swivel can be used at the end of the excavator arm. It has heavy rollers front and back for reduce wear and resistance. The boiler is to be enclosed and vented to prevent foliage and other material catching on fire. The water tank is to be insulated from the boiler to prevent distortion and material breakdown.
