PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely perform trapezoidal distortion correction in a short focus projector.SOLUTION: This projector 1 includes: a projection part 50 for projecting an image to a screen; an image pickup part 60 for picking up a projection image projected to the screen by the projection part 50 to obtain a pickup image; a determination part 74 for determining whether or not a first image for correction to be used for the trapezoidal distortion correction of the projection image is projected so as to stay in the image pickup area of the image pickup part on the screen by the projection part; and a correction image control part 76 for, when it is determined that the first image for correction is not projected so as to stay in the image pickup area, making the projection part project a second image for correction to be used for the trapezoidal distortion correction of the projection image, that is, the image which is smaller than the first image for correction instead of the first image for correction. |
