PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper garment having a gusset structure hardly producing fastening around the shoulder and tightening by stitches even when an armhole bottom is raised to facilitate raising of the arm.SOLUTION: A gusset 2 is formed by three blocks of a side part A, an armpit part B, and a sleeve part C. The side part A and the sleeve part C have both side edges formed by a gentle curve or a linear line, and the armpit part B of the gusset 2 has, on both side edges of the front armpit part and the rear armpit part, a front side projection part 3 and a rear side projection part 4 which are curved more sharply than gentle curves forming both side edges of the gusset side part and both side edges of the gusset sleeve part, and most widen in the vicinity of an armhole bottom (a). A front body, a back body, and the sleeve part on which the front side projection part 3 and the rear side projection part 4 of the gusset 2 are sewn are formed into an irregular shape having no recess adaptable to the front projection part and the rear projection part of the gusset. |
