The seat (1) has a seat main portion (2) that is adjusted between a sitting position and a easy-entry position in a longitudinal direction, and is locked by a locking latch. A backrest (3) is connected to the main portion by a backrest lock (6) and folded forward after releasing the lock by an easy-entry handle. The main portion is hinged to a release lever (20) for unlocking the latch. A pivotal control element (16) which is hinged on the backrest, is pivoted about a pivot axis of the lever without actuation of the lever, to unlock the latch.
