A method for detection of microbial corrosion focuses of underground metallic constructions, providing for sampling and estimation of microorganism development intensity. For the process simplification only ground air samples are taken over the metallic construction and in the distance of it. The estimation of microorganism development intensity is carried out according to content of carbon dioxide, molecular hydrogen, hydrogen sulfide, and methane in these samples. At excess concentration of carbon dioxide in sample over construction in comparison with control sample more than by 30% beginning of destroying of insulated coating is estimated, at arising of molecular hydrogen in the ground air the conclusion is made about destruction of film of cathode control. Hydrogen sulfide arising in ground air gives evidence of beginning of corrosion damage of underground constructions metal; methane arising in ground air gives evidence of deep corrosion damages of metal with probable formation of pittings; the amount of analyses is decreased and field of application is widened, comprising pipelines with diameter of 530-. |
