FIELD: radio engineering, communication.SUBSTANCE: method includes receiving a radio signal with M antennae which are identical and directional and form an equidistant ring antenna array, wherein the number M of the antennae used is selected using the formula M=4l+2, where l=1, 2, 3, ? - positive integers not equal to zero. The antennae are also made with an aperture angle on the -3 dB level which is not less than the angle between axial lines of adjacent antennae of the antenna array. The amplitude Uof signals is measured and the azimuthof the radio signal source is estimated. The radio direction-finder has M antennae, a radio receiving unit, an azimuth computer and a clock pulse generator.
