PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid excessive rise of the temperature of a compression mechanism while ensuring the reliability of a compressor.SOLUTION: A compressor includes a compression mechanism constituted by a rotary fluid machine. A discharge port (50) and an auxiliary port (55) are formed in a front head (31) of the compression mechanism, and a discharge valve (60) and an auxiliary valve (65) are provided on the front head (31) thereof. The discharge valve (60) opens/closes the discharge port (50) in response to a pressure of refrigerant within a compression chamber. The auxiliary valve (65) opens/closes the auxiliary port (55) in response to a temperature of a valve element (66) made of shape memory alloy. The valve element (66) turns into a valve closing shape closing the auxiliary port (55) if the temperature is equal to or lower than a reference temperature, and turns into a valve opening shape opening the auxiliary port (55) if the temperature exceeds the reference temperature.
