PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device which performs display that emphasizes an observer on a projected image.SOLUTION: An imaging section of an image display device photographs an image. A photographed image detection section detects a face of a person from the image photographed in the imaging section. A feature storage section stores a feature of the face of the person which the photographed image detection section detects. An image input section inputs the image. An image reproduction section reproduces the image inputted to the image input section. A reproduced image detection section sequentially detects the faces of the person from the image reproduced in the image reproduction section. A coincidence detection section detects that the feature of the face of the person which the reproduced image detection section detects is matched with the feature of the face of the person which a detection object storage section stores. An image effect processing section gives image effect to the image which the image reproduction section reproduces in accordance with detection of the coincidence detection section. A projection section projects the image on which the image effect processing section gives the image effect.
