PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform control according to a connection mode in the operation of an external device from a communication terminal.SOLUTION: A communication terminal includes: connection means for connecting to an external device; determination means for determining a connection mode to the external device connected by the connection means; and control means for determining, according to the connection mode determined by the determination means, whether to validate operation to disconnect the connection between the communication terminal and the external device, and operation to switch off the power of the external device.
