The vehicle (10) has a transmission control module (20) connected with input clutches (C1, C2), and detecting a required upshift of a dry dual clutch transmission (14) with an applied power. The module orders a position of one of the clutches by a control logic with forward coupling based on proportional-integral-differential (PID), and executes the upshift with the applied power. The module selectively adapts a calibrated torque-to-position-table (28) during execution of the upshift as a function of an inertia value and an acceleration value of an internal combustion engine (12).
