The present invention relates to an anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory active composition containing an extract of Adansoniam digitata L. Water, ethanol, or liquor extracts of Adansonia digitata L. contain a component which is useful for preventing and treating inflammation-related diseases by having high anti-oxidant effects, controlling the expression of iNOS and COX-2 which are inflammation-mediated factors, and controlling the generation of NO and proinflammatory cytokine generated by the enzyme.
