PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for thinly and uniformly manufacturing opened belt-like fiber bundles.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for continuously manufacturing opened fiber bundles while conveying them, which includes the steps of: (a) applying tension to a fiber bundle; (a) opening the fiber bundle by loosening the fiber bundle to which tension has been applied to form a belt-like fiber bundle; and (a) blowing air from an air outlet extending in the width direction of an air supplier to a direction crossing the conveyance direction of the belt-like fiber bundle to further open the belt-like fiber bundle and increase the width in a width direction. In the air outlet, a part of the air outlet outside in the width direction is arranged at the downstream in the conveyance direction than a part of the air outlet inside in the width direction.
