PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat fan guard and an outdoor unit capable of suppressing chattering noise.SOLUTION: A flat fan guard 40 is a flat fan guard arranged at outer package end surfaces 31A, 32A, 33A3 and 33B3 made of sheet metal. It is configured in such a manner that: an outer peripheral edge 40A of the fan guard 40 is formed to be smaller than an inner peripheral edge 30 of the outer package end surfaces 31A, 32A, 33A3 and 33B3; a plurality of thin wire materials 41 are arranged in vertical and horizontal lines; a thick wire materials 42 are arranged between the thin wire materials 41; and fitting parts 43 and 44 are provided at both end parts 42A of any one of the thick wire materials 42 for fitting the fan guard 40 to the outer package end surfaces 31A, 32A, 33A3 and 33B3. |
