The present invention relates to a garment treating apparatus which includes: a connecting duct which discharges air inside the drum in which garments are contained; a discharging duct which is arranged in the lengthwise direction of the drum and is connected with the connecting duct; a filter part arranged on the discharging duct to filtrate the air flowing in the discharging duct; a filter assembly having an impurity removing part, which removes impurities remaining in the filter part from the filter part; and an impurity containing part which can be attached to and detached from the discharging duct and is located under the filter part to contain impurities removed from the filter part.
