PURPOSE: A guide system for a fuel economical operation by a height and a method thereof are provided to improve a driving strength for an engine by adjusting an economy driving area by a height. CONSTITUTION: A guide system for a fuel economical operation by a height comprises the following: a car information gathering unit(210) collecting a shift pattern data or a driving information; a driving state output unit(220) computing an economy driving area and a current driving state by the collected information and adjusting an economy driving area by a height of a driving region; a display controller(240) controlling the display; an air inhale sensor(130) measuring an air volume inhaled to an engine of a vehicle; and an engine controller(110) outputting a atmospheric pressure value using the measured air volume.
