Passive broadband acoustic acquisition devices and passive broadband acoustic imaging systems

The device (3) has multiple microphone sensors (7) generating electric signals representative of acoustic pressure received by the sensors. A processing and digitizing electronics adapts the electric signals generated by the sensors and transforms them into digital signals of acoustic pressure. A transfer electronics transfers the digital signals from the processing and digitizing electronics to a digital processing unit (4). The sensors and the transfer electronics are mounted on a multifunctional rigid support element (17) that incorporates the processing and digitizing electronics. An independent claim is also included for a passive system for broadband acoustic imagery of an observation zone.
