Disclosed are an automated teller machine and a file downloading method thereof, capable of downloading a file from an upper server in one automated teller machine selected among a plurality of automated teller machines and distributing the film to the remaining automated teller machines. The automated teller machine according to the present invention includes: a first communication unit which communicates with one or more different automated teller machines; a second communication unit which communicates with the upper server; and a control unit which shares each machine information with one or more different automated teller machines through the first communication unit, downloads the file from the upper server as the representative of the automated teller machines through the second communication if the automated teller machine is selected as a representative automated teller machine among the automated teller machines based on the shared machine information, and distributes the file to the different automated teller machines through the first communication unit. Thereby, a load due to the file distribution of the upper server is reduced and the file is distributed to the automated teller machines by efficiently dealing with a network problem. |
