An organic light emitting diode according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a substrate; an insulation layer formed on the substrate; a lower electrode formed on the insulation layer; an organic layer formed on the lower electrode; a plasmon restraining layer formed on the organic layer; an upper electrode formed on the plasmon restraining layer; and a dielectric layer formed on the upper electrode. A permittivity (ε) of the upper electrode is less than a permittivity (ε″) of the dielectric layer and more than a permittivity (ε′) of the organic layer adjacent to the upper electrode, and an area of a plasmon resonance frequency (ω) of the upper electrode is different from an area of a plasmon resonance frequency (ω′) of the plasmon restraining layer.
