<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce loads upon a user regarding setup of a wireless LAN. <P>SOLUTION: A printer transmits advertisement data on the basis of each connection method while sequentially changing connection methods. (Refer to "Advertisement 11" to "Advertisement 3j".) The advertisement data is received at an access point where the connection method at a time of transmitting advertisement data is set up (Refer to "Advertisement 12".) to notify the printer with a reply of request reminder data that the access point can perform wireless connection with the same connection method as the connection method of the received advertisement data. (Refer to "Request reminder".). Then, the printer which has received the reply sets up the notified connection method, namely, the same connection method as the connection method set up at the access point.
