PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoplastic resin composition excellent in appearance characteristics, insulation performance, piercing strength, workability and heat resistance. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition contains 1-40 pts.mass of (a) a polyphenylene ether-based resin, 99-60 pts.mass of (b) a polypropylene-based resin, and 1-100 pts.mass (relative to 100 pts.mass, in total, of the components (a) and (b)) of (c) a hydrogenated block copolymer obtained by hydrogenating a block copolymer comprising at least two polymer blocks A composed mainly of a vinyl aromatic compound and at least one polymer block B composed mainly of a conjugated diene compound. When the thermoplastic resin composition is molded into a disk of 19 cm diameter and 1 mm thickness, the number (α) of black spot foreign substances counted in respective front and rear faces of three such disks, in total six faces (equivalent to 1,700 cm<SP>2</SP>), is≤50.
