The method involves sequential processing individual elements e.g. images or sound sequences, of a segment, and storing the elements in a determined number of memories. Each segment is subdivided into a number of portions comprising the same number of elements, where the number of portions is equal to the number of memories plus one unit. One of the individual elements in each segment is determined, where the individual element is extracted from a memory (Q) associated with most central portion of the segment. Each duly determined identifier is associated with the associated segment. An independent claim is also included for an audiovisual receiver. |
