PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for setting a pile, which secures a predetermined bearing force in middle supporting soil without press-fitting the pile to deep supporting soil, and to provide a method for improving the support force of the pile. SOLUTION: The reinforcing method for a pile includes steps of: removing the peripheral area of the pile embedded to expose the pile; forming a reinforcement layer on the bottom of the removed area; and attaching a collar member to the exposed pile to abut on the reinforcement layer.
