In a self-lubricating thrust bearing of the kind in which a runner 1 secured to a shaft 2 through a thrust collar 3 co-operates with a stationary ring comprising a plurality of Michell pads 5 within an oil reservoir 9 defined by an outer wall 8, inner wall 7 and base 6, a number of blades 12 constituting a radial impeller are mounted on a cylinder 13 depending from the collar 3. The blades 12 promote circulation of oil from the reservoir 9 through radial ducts 4 in the runner 1. The blades 12 are curved and may be mounted so as to pivot about a vertical axis so being adaptable for either direction of shaft rotation. Removable nozzles 14 are provided in the ducts 4.
